Aziyadé Ruiz
Aziyadé Ruiz was born in 1972 in Camaguey, Cuba. She graduated from Art School in her hometown. Later on, she specialized in the art of Engraving at the Cuban Institue of Art.
Her work has been internationally recognized. She bears a total of 19 personal exhibits and over 60 collective presentations.
Aziyadé's work is focused in the constant search of a unique environment that represents daily life as a one-time event. Her latest series 'Nuevas Especies' refers to the misteries of Happiness; the sea and its constant presence; life, its challenges and how to face them; human feelings. They are all envisioned from a futurist perspective, depicting the socially related facts.
Her work is characterized by unparalled sensuality and charming Caribbean touches, all of which are accompanied by ever present strong colors and textures.
